Neither,
it's the 535 members of the United States Congress.

The same group of Idiots* that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of the US population in line.

*AND THEY JUST VOTED THEMSELVES $15,000 PER MONTH PENSION FOR LIFE AFTER SERVING ONLY ONE TERM IN CONGRESS!!

(This came to me an in email forward, I have no idea how much of it (if any) is accurate.)

I don't doubt that some of it is accurate, but we've had a few elections since that thing started going around.

Yeah, I wondered about that. I wish those kinds of email forwards have "started-on" dates.

What I also find funny is that the article omits reference to the Chappaquiddick Incident, one of the hugest national scandals to effect any of our Congressmen, ever. (It might have been referenced under "drunk driving, but that charge was never proven.) It might have been too obvious though...

But I mean, since that thing came out, we've had way more scandals in Congress. It's been crazy. That thing is so out of date it's insane.

But I heart Ted Kennedy, I wish he would run for President.

That's really interesting... I don't remember hearing about the Chappaquiddick Incident... guess it was before my time! I had kinda been under the impression that the email forward was supposed to represent a snapshot in time rather than a running tally of the legal troubles of the U.S. Congress, but that's really interesting all the same!

haha, that's awesome if that's true.
even if the numbers are divided in half or even divided by 8, that's still awesome.

Oh, hey! When I first saw this I thought, "Yeah? So? Everyone should know these people aren't really that special, so no one should really be surprised."

But now I remember you're not from the States. Now I'm thinking way too many people here don't realise how messed up the US Congress can be.

Hehe, I guess it's just the sense of irony that got me ;)
