Hmmm Let's see...

A couple of weeks ago she started scratching things. It only occurred to me yesterday that she was actually starting to use her hands to feel textures, rather than just using her mouth. This is kind of cool, and now that I know what's going on, I'm appreciating it a lot more watching it happen. Also, she's amazed when I drink out of a glass, so yesterday I offered her a drink from my glass - just water. She was happy to drink from it, but mostly ended up sticking her tongue in the glass and trying to lap up the water. Much like the kitties. Hmm... I think they're getting to be a bad influence!

Creative Memories
I became a creative memories (scrapbook) consultant. I did this mostly to get 30% off on all the products, but I figured I might be able to make a bit of cash on the side as well. I knew upon signing up that I'd have to have $600 worth of orders every three months. What I didn't know was that I would also have to have my first order be $600 or more in the first 30 days of signing up. This means I have about 3 days left to figure out what I want to buy with the $600 I'm going to have to spend. Grr.

I've been getting a ton of exercise lately. It's mostly due to all the stroller walking I've been doing. I've also exacerbated a knee injury that's been annoying me. I went and got new shoes though, and I'm hoping that will make the difference.

I'm trying to keep my house clean. I think I'm losing the battle. I desperately need to organize the computer room though, it's driving me insane and I can't find anything. It's also preventing me from working on my pictures and scrapbooking.

Neener Neener Neener
There was something fabulous that happened on Thursday night, and I can't wait to show people, but I don't have time now (what else is new) so I'll just have to show it when I get around to it, but I'm pretty fucking pleased with it, and very very excited about it.

In other news, I'm tired and would like a vacation.

You are such a fucking tease. :P
I love your Alex stories, they make me remember happy things, I'm so glad you are having these moments.
Right after I had Kayleigh I dropped most of the weight simply because I was so delighted to have her I was constantly carrying her or pushing her places and running around going weeeeeeeeeeeee.
I hope your knee gets better when you tell us your story about Thursday.

Evil, now I really want to know what IT is. I can really sypmathsize about the clean house. We live in a two bedroom. The spare room was my scrapbooking room until we found out I was pregnant with Jillian. So Mike thinking he was being helpful threw all of my stuff in boxes in the unfinished basement. So I am waiting for him to complete the two rooms downstairs so I can get back to work on my own.

Those home party things can be so tricky when you sign up. I wish that it wasn't always pressure sales with those type of things. What happens if you don't get $600 worth of orders?
Aug. 3rd, 2006 06:00 am (UTC)
I think if I don't make the sales then I don't get to remain a consultant, which would be a waste since I've already put quite a bit of cash into this.

Avon was the one thing I did where I didn't feel the pressure... if you didn't have the sales that month, you didn't have to put in the order.

IT will come soon :P

$600? if you've got 20 good friends that don't mind putting up $30 each...
Aug. 3rd, 2006 06:02 am (UTC)
Er yeah... I've never had 20 good friends that would just fork over $30 without expecting a repayment... and I don't need to deal with the stress of having to repay 20 friends (if I had em!)
