Bad Dreams of a Baby

Around 1:30am last night, Alex started screaming. I went over to her, and here she was still asleep, but screaming and crying her little eyes out, which were rolling around in her head - she was still dreaming. I picked her up and held her and kept telling her it was ok, that mommy was there. She quieted down right away.

Now I ask you... what could a 10 week old baby dream about that would be so horribly scary in their mind?

In other news, we thought Tigger was largely uninterested in the presence of Kitty, but it turns out that Tigger is just incredibly unaware. Kitty strolled past Tigger as Tigger was lounging, and the expression on Tigger's face was priceless. She didn't react for a full three seconds as her face was just all "W.T.F.!" Hissing and spitting ensued once she regained her composure. It was a bit funny.

This could be a valid bad dream for some babies, but I had a C-sec, so she never made it into the birth canal. I wish I knew what she was thinking!

Except I had a C-section, so she never got into the birth canal!

She's probably horribly concerned with the general unrest in the Middle East. Kids are smart these days...

I guess I should probably stop reading her the front page of the paper, eh?

She's terrified that Tigger will clue in and hurt Kitty. She loves Kitty.

Seeing how your touch immediately calmed her, it could have been the typical all alone without mommy dream.

Perhaps. I haven't really ever left her alone though, so does she even know what "without mommy" feels like?

as soon as you leave a room with her in a crib she is instantly 'without mommy'...

Isn't it nice to feel so needed to be able to calm her down right away? Nothing is more powerful than a mommy! :)

Well, you'll be happy to hear that I spent most of last night organizing baby pictures. Half done!
