I think I'm in a rather evil mood this afternoon. :D
and i get emails like that sometimes. :)
"Hello XXXXX,
I'm afraid I don't have much I can tell you. "Sharya" isn't my real name, it is only the online screename that I use. Back when I had been searching for an appropriate (but unique) online screename, I wanted one that was similar yet different enough from my own name, that I would be able to identify with it as well as maintain some degree of anonymity.
After playing around for days with various vowels and consonants, I came up with this variation, and I loved it immediately.
A few years ago, I started to try to find out the meaning of the name, and/or the origin. When I googled it, I got a lot of Russian hits, and I think the name is also that of a Russian city (much to my surprise). I think this is one of the links that managed to convince me:
http://www.hmn.ru/en/index1.php?code=4&value=27271 (It's a site that shows the weather).
I wish you luck with your search, and would be interested in anything you're able to find, since the name has become rather dear to me.
Kind Regards,
Sharya"

In ancient times, the sounds S, SH, H were related and often evolved the one into the other and the other into the one.
For example:
The traditional name of Greek, "Hellas", comes from the name of a Greek tribe in Epirus called variously the "Selloi / Helloi"
Comparing the Hindic Vedas with the Iranian Avesta, the Indians call their Aryan forebears the "Sura" whilst the Iranians use the word "Hura". Similarly, the Indians call their mother river the "Sarasvati" while the Iranians call theirs the "Harasvati"
The Aryan root prefix appears in such words as "(h)ARistocracy" [Greek], "HEREfolk" [German], "HERo" [Greek], "conSERve / reSERve / preSERve / obSERve" [Latin, "servare" to protect], "(h)EARl" [German].
Additionally, in the Semitic aleph-bets, the letter for S may also be pronounced SH.
SO, regarding the Aryan root prefix, we see a consistent constellation of the sounds S, SH, H.
Thus, it seems reasonable to presume that the TRUE ancient self-appellation of the Aryans was actually closer to:
SHARYA
And where was there homeland?
Turkmenistan.
In ancient times, the modern "Hari" river in Turkmenistan flowed all the way from the Hindu Kush into the Caspian.
The names of the "Harisvati" river in Afghanistan, and its cognate cousin the "Sarasvati" in Pakistan, mean "resembling [svati] the Hari".
It seems logical, given the survival of the names Harasvati and Sarasvati into modern times, that the Hari river of Turkmenistan may also be an ancient name. And as both the Harisvati and Sarasvati both flow from the mountains into large bodies of water -- ie, that they do at least broadly resemble the Hari river of Turkmenistan -- that indeed it IS the Hari river that both others resemble, and we may conclude that the Iranians and Indians named local rivers after their ancient homeland in Turkmenistan.
He He. But it is a lovely name...
How the fuck did I get off on such a tangent? Holy shit... you can tell that my mind is wandering today!
My Mum used to say "Doesn't always do to know too much"
Heh
I saw you deleted your journal, and while you warned that you might do that, I have to say I'm very sad. You're such a kind and interesting person that I wish we didn't have to say goodbye. I know you made this particular lj account specifically to write about your occupation, and that if you gave it up or moved on, you likely would delete that account. I'd really love to have a chance to continue reading about your life, so if you've created (or if you have) another lj account, I'd be delighted to continue reading about you, and keeping in touch that way.
Hopefully you get this comment even though you deleted your account. If you'd like to email me, easiest way to reach me is at sharya@livejournal.com. Sometimes the junkmail folder gets real emails though, so put either my username (sharya) or your username (trixey) in the subject line so I know for sure it's not junk. (Or mention livejournal).
I wish you all the best in the future, and I genuinely hope I'll be able to connect with you in some other way on this world wide web.
Goodluck and Merry Christmas (if you celebrate it!)

So far, things have been a bit dicey, what with excessive spotting and all, but other than that, I'm feeling pretty good :)
